Manifest Distilling partners to bring products to Georgia and South Carolina; releases Chardonnay barrel-aged gin
Manifest Distilling recently formalized a partnership with the Pacific Southern Wine Company covering Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. This marks the beginning of Manifest’s entrance into the Georgia and South Carolina markets.
“One of our company’s core tenets is that the sum is greater than the parts," said David Cohen, co-founder and President of Manifest. "We are thrilled to have teamed up with a multi-generation, family-owned business like Pacific Southern to help us build relationships and expand our brand into new territories.”
Manifest is a full-scale organic distillery in downtown Jacksonville that opened nearly two years ago. It currently distributes its Gin, Barrel-aged Gin, Vodka, Citrus Vodka and Rye Whiskey primarily throughout North and Central Florida.
Pacific Southern is a wine and spirit sales and marketing company based in Atlanta, GA. The company got its start in 1987 representing premium, family owned wineries from around the world and growing their sales and branding in the South Eastern United States. In the mid-nineties, Pacific Southern introduced Skyy Vodka into Georgia and South Carolina and later expanded to include Van Gogh Vodka and Korbel Brandy in their full territory. The strength of the Pacific Southern team is their ability to impact distribution and sales for Artisanal brands into both retail and on premise sectors.
To commemorate the partnership, Manifest is releasing a special bottling this Friday, July 13th of its Barrel-aged Gin that was matured in one of Jed Steele’s Chardonnay barrels, who is also a client of Pacific Southern. This release of 300 bottles will only be available for purchase at its distillery, located at 960 E. Forsyth St. in downtown’s Sports District. “We regularly sell and distribute a barrel-aged gin that was matured in new casks and used rye and bourbon barrels,” said Cohen. “The Chardonnay barrel used for this single release imparted traditional French oak character along with some nice mango and papaya tropicality. Our team was incredibly surprised and obviously please with the results.” The project marks the beginning of multiple collaborations with Jed Steele and his flagship Steele Winery.
Manifest expects that most of its core products will be distributed in Georgia before the end of 2018, with South Carolina following soon after.
